The word of welcome from the Wisdom Schools’ Director
We live today in a world that is so very different from the one we grew up in, the one we were educated in. The world today is changing at such an accelerated rate and we as educators need to pause and reflect on the entire system of education. Are our schools well equipped to prepare our children to face the challenges that the future holds?
Questions such as these are factors that motivate us to go through a continuous process of reflection and hence we at WISDOM SCHOOLS work at implementing a well-balanced curriculum to ensure that the children who walk into the portals of our schools will not just love their school years but truly be prepared to face life challenges of this modern world.
It was Margaret Mead who said: “Children must be taught how to think, not what to think” and to enable this, our motto of “FEARING GOD IS KNOWLEDGE” is encouraged through a holistic approach “TO MOTIVATE THE WEAK, TO ADDRESS THE AVERAGE AND CHALLENGE THE GIFTED” which is the teaching visions our school.
Aristotle once said: “Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all”. Even as we impart education to match the advancement in technology and globalization, we match our children ahead with WISDOM SCHOOL ethos of moral values and principles. We endeavour constantly to instil these qualities in our children. We provide ourselves to help them grow and develop into sensible and responsible, committed and accountable citizens of the next generation.
A committed and supportive management, dedicated teachers, caring and cooperative parents blend harmoniously to create a child-centred school. It is natural to find in the ambience the intensive use of a variety of thinking activities, strategies and group dynamics so that the classroom is made alive.
Team work is the hallmark of WISDOM SCHOOLS. I am very sure through collaborative effort we can achieve more or benefit our students who are the future leaders of tomorrow.
Every pupil, student/ teacher at Wisdom School must understand that life does not give him/her what he/she needs, but it gives him/her what he/she deserves. Therefore, all of us need to work hard and strive for what we want.
Hope this website will be a way through which everyone will get more insights and understanding of the why of WISDOM SCHOOLS RWANDA.
MAY THE ALMIGHTY GOD BLESS YOU ALL,
Director of Wisdom Schools Rwanda
